The Spring Thaw Duathlon Race Series is designed as a training race
Series
to get you prepared for your 2008 triathlon and duathlon
season. Practice your transitions, get a great workout… jump
start your season and have some fun to boot! Overall results and
times will be posted as soon as possible on our website at
www.emdesports.com/results.htm. Helmets are required for all cyclists and
be prepared for any type of weather before, during and after the
race! Parts of the proceeds will be donated to the
Nine Mile Falls Elementary School.

Course Description:
April 13th:
2.2 mile run- 9.6 mile bike- 2.2 mile run The runs are mostly on off-road trails with short sections of
asphalt. Trails are mostly flat with a couple of short hills
and will be approx. 1.1 mile laps for 2.2 & 2.2 mile distances. The
9.6 mile bike course is slightly undulating with a nice, smooth surface
and great shoulders. Please stay to the right of the white fog
lines. The bike is an out and back turning around at the bottom
of Charles Hill Rd. No follow cars will be allowed on the bike
course for the safety of the racers as well as normal traffic on
the roadways.

3.3 mile run- 22 mile bike- 3.3 mile run The runs are mostly on off-road trails with short sections of

20.6 mile bike course is slightly undulating with a nice, smooth surface

Divisions: Individual Age Groups for Men and Women: 14-16, 17-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54,
55-59, and 60+
Relay Teams: (Women, Men and Mixed) Two or three person teams are possible.
Awards: Overall
male
and female winner will be awarded trophies and age group division winners will receive ribbons.
Awards are scheduled for 11:15 am at the Nine Mile
Falls Elementary School.
Check in/Registration: Pre-registration is desired either by mail or at
www.signmeupsports.com
(you may follow the links below for each event) and will help facilitate check-in the day of the race.
Registration and check-in will be at the Nine Mile Falls
Elementary School and starts at 7:00 am.
Waivers must be signed at check-in

Parking: Parking will be available along the Nine Mile
Elementary School parking
lots.
Travel Directions to the Race: From East or
West I-90, take the Maple St. Exit and drive North up to Francis
St. (approx. 5 miles). Take a left turn (traveling West) on to
Francis which is also Hwy. 291 and follow to Nine Mile Falls. Take
a left turn at the Dam and the start will be at the elementary
school right after Sontag Park, just a short distance from the
Dam on the right.
