Participant Race Comments:

Thank you for your "wunderful" comments!

I’ve done two Valley Girl races and now the first Wunder Woman race and they’ve all been wonderful.  Thanks for all your hard work in putting these races together.  I would like to bring to your attention one particular volunteer who went above and beyond at the event yesterday.  First let me say that I am a back-of-the-pack person who has never been thought of by anyone (least of all myself) as an athlete. When you are slower, the race volunteers do a very nice job of keeping an eye on you to make sure you’re doing ok.  During the run portion (which I walk) of the race yesterday, Tom, a volunteer medic on a bike, rode up along side of me to make sure I was ok. I was fine… a bit wet and cold but not having any problems. Nonetheless, he rode along with me, keeping me company and distracting me from the elements for about two and a half miles. It was really touching that he’d do that and it helped make my race experience better.  He could’ve chosen to get out of the rain since I was one of the last racers out there, but he didn’t and that speaks to the wonderful, dedicated volunteers you have enlisted for these events.  I do thank all of the volunteers I pass while I’m racing but I wanted to write to you to make sure you know from at least one racer’s perspective how great those folks are, what a nice job they do and how much we all appreciate them.  Tom exemplified this for me at yesterday’s race, but all of the volunteers make racing more fun for me and I wanted to let you know that.
Thanks again and I look forward to seeing you all again next year for these great events!
Sincerely,  Michelle

Jim and I just wanted to thank you for another GREAT event!!! We are so impressed with what you have done in the local Tri community and hope & pray you will continue to be encouraged. Even with the rain WunderWoman was a hoot!!! Please know that you are appreciated. If you ever need any more help in the future please let us know. Again well done!!!!!

I want to say thank you for a very fun race on Sunday!  I was SO impressed with the entire event and I was amazed by the number of support volunteers that were out there, in the rain, keeping us safe..  You know it's a well organized event when the weather doesn't stop the athletes from having a fun, safe day.
I think you've been amazing from the start in your pre-race communication, all the way through race day.  It was a pleasure to meet you and I'll look forward to planning my trip from San Diego around this event next year.
Best Regards,
Shelby

The race went great today, minus the weather. Thanks for all your efforts!
Kim

I am sure you have heard this a million times - but I am hooked!  I have done both the valley-girl and wunder woman this summer and loved every minute of it!  Thank you so much for all your organization that goes into these events!  I can tell just by watching that you put your heart and soul into these events, and that you care that each and every one of us will finish!  I was looking at the pictures and the picture of the last lady to get out of the lake, and you talking to her was evidence of this.
Thank you also for making this a 'women's only' event, it makes it so much less intimidating!  I look forward to doing this again next year.  Thanks again for all you and your volunteers do.
Becky

I had a great time on Sunday.  I just wanted to say that your volunteers there and at ValleyGirl are just the best.  They are so encouraging and supportive that it really makes a big difference.  It was a great course and I hope you hold it again next year.
It was nice that the Friday packet pickup was a little closer to town.  Plus REI had some great sales.  Double bonus!

Wow... can't say enough good things about yesterday's event.  I was
struck over and over by the sheer amount of support staff that was
there to keep things ticking along smoothly and quickly.  I felt very
safe throughout the event, especially the bike leg.
Thank you for this well-planned, well-executed event.
Sincerely,
Megan

Thank you for another FABULOUS event.  I had puddles of water in my bike shoes but other than that it was a GREAT time!

Once again, thank you and Michael and your crew for organizing a wonderful race last Sunday at Medical Lake!  Although I have raced in Medical Lake before, your race was incredibly well-organized and more importantly... fun!  Fun, even though the rain was wet and the temperature low for an August race.

Thank you for an incredibly well organized, fun and safe triathlon. You guys are such awesome race sponsors and it's so fun to compete in the races you guys put on. The rain was a bit intimidating at first, especially the swim, but all the awesome volunteers made it so much easier to keep going in that yucky weather. Your love and dedication to the tri sport shows at all your events! You guys do a fantastic job! Driving home was interesting, I think we all felt like a big wet sponge:>)

Thanks so much for Wunderwoman on Sunday.  That was a huge effort for you and your team, and it was wunderful!

Just wanted to touch base with you.  First, I want to say a big thank you to you and all the other folks who where responsible for putting together the Wunder Women Triathlon.  I can’t imagine the time and dedication it takes to make an event like that happen and be so well organized.  Even my husband and friends that came to support me commented on the organization of the race!
